Doling Park Museum

The Doling Park History Center, a new non-profit organization, celebrates Doling Park’s rich history as a cherished Springfield landmark. Currently housed in a modest museum on the site of a former skating rink, the center showcases memorabilia, artifacts, and stories from the park’s past, including its natural spring and historic cave. To honor this legacy, the envisioned architectural design draws inspiration from historical bathhouses, featuring a prominent gable system and channel glass that creates a glowing, inviting lobby. This design aims to engage visitors, evoke curiosity, and educate the public about the park’s hidden mysteries and enduring significance.
